Spring style at great prices

Looking for high quality and affordable items to get your kids ready for the warm weather? Your in luck, the Indy Kids Sale will be held March 6 through 8 at the Hamilton County 4-H Fairgrounds, 2003 E. Pleasant St., Noblesville.

Lori Chandler, owner of Indy Kids Sale, said the items for sale are geared toward summer and spring with sizes available for newborns through teenagers. The sale also will carry a selection of maternity clothes with discounts averaging 75 to 90 percent off retail.

“We have high quality items, not like what you would see at a garage sale and you don’t have to rifle through racks for good things,” Chandler said.

The sale also includes areas for toys, books, electronics and other items.

“If you are just looking for specific things, you can come in and find them,” Chandler said.

The sale started in 2005 with 15 consigners in front of a Carmel home. And has grown to 300 consigners with an estimated 50,000 children’s items for sale.

“I love helping hundreds of families save money by shopping and consigning,” Chandler said. “But even more so, I love that we are a part of the community, helping local families and forming partnerships with local organizations to give back to the community.”

Indy kids Sale has partnered with Safe Families, an organized that promotes keeping children safe online. And is encouraging people to shop the sale on March 7, when you can purchase items for families in need from the Safe Families organization.

In addition, Safe Families will choose five families in need to receive $50 to shop the sale before it opens to the public.

“I had a feeling that it was important to allow those families the opportunity to come in and shop for what they needed for their family instead of just taking what was given to them,” Chandler said.

The sale is 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. March 6, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 7 and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 8.

On the last day of the sale, consigners will make certain items available for half price and a large majority of the items not sold will be given to another charity partner, Good Samaritan Network of Hamilton County.

Admission and parking are free at this event. Cash, Visa and MasterCard will be accepted as payment.
