Morning crash kills one

A late morning crash on June 2 at Campus Parkway and Bergen Boulevard in Noblesville resulted in the death of one, identified as Betty J. Pritchard, 64, of Cicero.
Around 11:02 a.m., police officers and firefighters from the Noblesville Police and Fire Departments responded to a report of a two-car motor vehicle crash at the intersection.
Based on witness statements and evidence at the scene, a 2001 Buick passenger car, driven by Pritchard, was traveling southbound on Bergen Boulevard when it was struck by a 2004 International cargo truck traveling westbound on Campus Parkway. Pritchard was the only passenger in the vehicle.
Pritchard was transported by ground ambulance to St. Vincent Hospital in Fishers and later by air ambulance to St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
Initial releases by police stated Pritchard’s condition upon arrival at the hospital as “critical”. By 6 p.m. June 2, police publicly released information stating that Pritchard had died, shortly after her arrival at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, as a result of injuries sustained during the crash
The driver of the International cargo truck was identified as Michael L. Klepfer, Jr., 45, of Westfield. Klepfer did not sustain any injuries as a result of the accident. There were no additional occupants in the vehicle.
